Rules - Local Kicks Football

Welcome to Local Kicks Football! To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants, please familiarize yourself with the following rules and guidelines.

1. Team Composition

– A team consists of a maximum of 7 players on the field, including the goalkeeper.

– Teams may have a minimum of 4 players to start a match.

2. Player Eligibility

– All players must be registered with Local Kicks and adhere to age requirements.

— Players must provide valid identification upon request.

3. Match Duration

– Matches consist of two halves, each lasting 30-40 minutes.

4. Substitutions

– Rolling substitutions are allowed during the match at designated substitution zones.

– Players must enter and exit the field at the halfway line.

5. Shin Pads

– Shin pads are optional and worn at the player’s risk. Participants are encouraged to wear shin pads for personal safety.

6. Goalkeepers

– Goalkeepers cannot leave their designated area.

– Goal kicks are taken from anywhere inside the goal area.

7. Offside Rule

– There is no offside rule.

8. Scoring

– A goal is scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line between the goalposts and beneath the crossbar.

9. Fouls and Free Kicks

– Direct free kicks are awarded for fouls, taken from the spot where the infringement occurred.

– The opposing team must be at least 5 yards away during free kicks.

10. Penalty Kicks

– Penalty kicks are awarded for major fouls within the penalty area.

11. Sportsmanship

– Respect for fellow players, officials, and spectators is paramount.

– Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including verbal abuse or aggressive behavior, will not be tolerated.

12. Disciplinary Action

– Local Kicks reserves the right to take disciplinary action for rule violations, including cautionary cards and player suspensions.

13. League Points

– Teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.

In case of tied league points, goal difference and then head-to-head results are considered.

14. League Standings

– Regular updates on league standings, fixtures, and results will be available on the Local Kicks website.

15. Equipment

– Players must wear appropriate footwear (no metal studs) and are encouraged to wear shin pads.

– All team members must wear the same color uniform.

16. Referee Decisions

– Referee decisions are final. Disputes should be addressed through proper channels post-match.

17. Weather Conditions

– Matches are played regardless of weather conditions, except in extreme circumstances where safety is compromised.

18. Lateness Penalty

– Lateness exceeding 3 minutes results in 1 goal awarded to the opposition team for every 3 minutes late.

19. Amendments

– Local Kicks reserves the right to amend or update the rules. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
